newThe Zero XE is built for riders who want explosive power and seamless, shift-free acceleration. The 15.5 kW (20.1 hp) permanent-magnet motor delivers 58 Nm, which through the fixed reduction and 520 chain amounts to 635 Nm of torque at the rear wheel. Weighing 101 kg ready to ride and with a top speed of 85 km/h, it tears effortlessly through dirt, mud and gravel.
The swappable 4.3 kWh lithium battery (74V, 58Ah) gives a range of around 100 km at 50 km/h. The 800W charger fills it to 95% in 5 hours from a standard wall socket, on the bike or with the battery removed. Want to ride longer? Simply swap to a spare battery. The XE carries a motorcycle registration and requires an A1 licence.
The forged aluminium frame, fully adjustable suspension (220/248 mm wheel travel) and CST knobbly tyres on 21/18-inch spoked wheels make the XE ready for serious off-road work. The 2.4-inch colour display offers three riding modes (ECO, Standard, Sport), Uphill Assist, adjustable regeneration, traction control, cruise control and reverse. The XE is IP65 water-resistant and finished in white-black.
