newThe Kodiak 450 is a compact, mid-size work ATV with equipment you don't always expect at entry level. The liquid-cooled, fuel-injected 421 cc single-cylinder engine delivers plenty of low-end torque and starts easily, hot or cold. The Ultramatic transmission has a low range for towing and tough terrain and provides engine braking on all wheels.
The On-Command switch lets you change between 2WD and 4WD. This version has no power steering and no diff lock; if you want those, choose the Kodiak 450 EPS. KYB gas shocks (171 mm travel front, 189 mm rear) and 245 mm of ground clearance provide comfort, and thanks to the compact body it is easy to manoeuvre in tight spaces.
Even this base version comes with a factory-fitted 2,500 lb WARN VRX 25 winch at the front. The racks carry 120 kg combined (40 kg front, 80 kg rear) and you can tow up to 600 kg. The handlebar-mounted LCD dashboard shows speed, fuel, 4WD status and maintenance hours, among other things. Available in green and blue, unregistered or with an agricultural registration (T).
