newThe KLX140R is the logical next step for young riders who want to develop their off-road skills further. The high-revving 144cc air-cooled four-stroke engine starts at the push of a button. Air cooling means no radiators are needed, so the bike stays slim and light. At 93 kg ready to ride, it is easy to handle for young riders.
Unlike the KLX110R, the rider shifts here with a manual clutch and a five-speed gearbox. That way you learn to shift like on a full-size motocross bike, with smooth gear changes and gradual, controllable acceleration. Wave disc brakes front and rear, with a twin-piston caliper at the front, provide strong and easily modulated braking.
The light perimeter frame in high-tensile steel is stiff and slim, so young riders can easily grip the bike and move around on it freely. The telescopic fork and Uni-Trak rear suspension offer 180 mm of travel. Seat height is 780 mm, with a 17-inch front wheel, a 14-inch rear wheel and 235 mm of ground clearance. The KLX140R is available in green.
