newXU stands for extra utility equipment. Compared with the base PRO HD5, you get a Can-Am HD3500 winch with synthetic rope and 1,588 kg of pulling force as standard, plus three-mode Dynamic Power Steering (DPS), XPS Trail King tyres on 12-inch cast aluminium wheels and a premium glovebox with phone holder and USB charger. A D.E.S.S. RF key guards against theft.
This XU has the HD5 engine: a Rotax ACE 650 cc single-cylinder with 40 hp and 50.2 Nm, tuned for work. Intelligent Engine Braking (iEB) gives controlled engine braking on descents, and the speed limiter lets you set a maximum speed, useful when colleagues use the ATV. If you want more power and riding modes, choose the PRO XU HD7.
The Visco-4Lok front differential with Lock 4WD mode helps in deep mud. The suspension is set up for heavy loads and ground clearance is 33 cm. The pDrive clutch lasts three times longer between services. The PRO XU HD5 is available in beige, unregistered or with an agricultural registration (T).
