REGULATOR - FLT 97-01 - OEM 74
Rectifying RegulatorControls voltage on Harley-Davidson and Buell alternators, unlike other rectifiers or regulators that dump to ground and cause maximum stator current and higher temperatures Cycle Electric rectifying regulators block current to control voltage; this reduces stator current, resulting in low temperature and less drag on the motor, which means more efficient operation Made in the USA Before replacing regulator, test stator for shorts to ground and proper AC output. If the stator is bad, a complete charging system upgrade part is recommended.
For '97-'98 FLH/FLT see 2112-1823.
For '99-'01 FLH/FLT see 2112-1820.
